These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Painting Ledger website at thepaintingledger.com and the associated iOS and Android mobile applications (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Mike Washburn ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The Painting Ledger offers a free tier and an optional Pro subscription. The Pro subscription unlocks additional features including AI painting scheme generation, Battle Intelligence analytics, unlimited gallery uploads, and commission tracking.
Billing. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a monthly basis until you cancel.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the app or by contacting us at info@thepaintingledger.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.
Free Trial. Where a free trial is offered, it will be clearly disclosed prior to purchase. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the standard monthly rate.
Price Changes. We may change the subscription price with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the Pro features after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
You agree not to use the Service to:
You retain ownership of content you upload to the Service, including photos and collection data. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.
If you choose to enable a public profile, your username and selected collection information will be publicly visible. You can disable this at any time from within the app.
The Painting Ledger, its logo, design, and original content are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Warhammer, Age of Sigmar, and related intellectual property are trademarks of Games Workshop Limited. The Painting Ledger is an independent hobby management tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Games Workshop.
The Service includes AI-powered features such as paint scheme generation and barcode identification, powered by Anthropic's Claude. These features are provided as-is. AI-generated painting suggestions are for inspiration and guidance only — results may vary and are not guaranteed to be accurate.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for any loss of data.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
